Terms of Service & Code of Play
Last Updated: October 2026. By registering for the Kirinyaga University Esports roster, participating in campus tournaments, or joining our official WhatsApp clan channels, you agree to these terms.
1. Registration is 100% free for KyU students.
2. Play fair: zero cheats, hacks, or ringers allowed.
3. Keep community channels respectful: zero tolerance for harassment, bullying, or hate speech.
4. Prizes are credited in Carry1st Discount Points (CDP) to verified Carry1st Shop profiles.
1. Eligibility & Student Verification
- Active Student Status: Participation in official KyU varsity divisions, seeded tournaments, and campus leagues is restricted to currently enrolled Kirinyaga University students.
- Accurate Credentials: You must supply your authentic student registration number and institutional email. Registering with fraudulent or third-party admission numbers results in instant disqualification.
- Free Access: Membership in the club and regular tournament participation carries zero entry fees or subscription charges.
2. Carry1st Rewards & CDP Distribution
- CDP Currency: Tournament prize pools, participation drops, and challenge bonuses are distributed as Carry1st Discount Points (CDP).
- Valid Shop Profile: Players must maintain a registered Carry1st Shop account with the email specified during registration. Points cannot be credited to unverified or invalid accounts.
- Redemptions: CDP can be redeemed via the Carry1st Shop for supported digital products, including mobile airtime, data bundles, game currencies (COD Points, eFootball coins, Free Fire diamonds), and vouchers. Points are governed by Carry1st platform terms and conditions.
- No Direct Cash Guarantee: Campus budget distributions are allocated in CDP. Any cash or physical conversions are subject to regional Carry1st coordinator approval according to official Tribe Campus guidelines.
3. Competitive Integrity & Fair Play
To maintain fair competition for all students, the following actions will trigger immediate match forfeiture, prize revocation, and possible seasonal bans:
- Third-Party Exploits: Use of hacks, aimbots, wallhacks, scripts, memory modifiers, or unauthorized emulators in mobile-restricted divisions.
- Ringers & Smurfs: Playing under another student's account or bringing in non-KyU players to substitute in official matches.
- Match Fixing & Collusion: Intentionally manipulating match outcomes, bracket seeding, or prize splits.
4. Community Guidelines & Channel Decorum
In alignment with the Tribe Campus Leaders Handbook, all club interactions—whether in WhatsApp groups, Discord rooms, or physical hangouts—must respect the following standards:
- Everyone is a Gamer: We welcome casual and hardcore gamers alike. Gatekeeping, elitism, and belittling beginner players is strictly forbidden.
- Zero Tolerance: Threats of violence (direct or implied), cyberbullying, hate speech, sexual harassment, explicit/pornographic content, and gore will result in immediate removal and escalation to university administration if warranted.
- No Spam or Commercial Promotion: Campus gaming channels are for matchmaking, tournament updates, and gaming discussions. No commercial ads, political propaganda, or unrelated solicitations.
5. Academic Balance & University Affiliation
Esports activities are scheduled outside official lecture hours, lab sessions, and examination periods. The club emphasizes responsible academic balance. While the club operates with student leadership and university sporting recognition, academic commitments remain the student's primary priority.
6. Disciplinary Enforcement
Campus leaders and community coordinators reserve the authority to issue warnings, forfeit matches, deduct tournament points, or expel disruptive individuals from club channels. Appeals can be directed to the student secretariat via official email channels.
